Shop With A Cop

The Des Moines Police Foundation hosts Shop with a Cop each year.

Shop with a Cop is an event that provides a positive interaction between underprivileged students, their families and law enforcement.

Through our Shop with a Cop event and your contribution, students in need are able to purchase small gifts for members of their household for the holidays. They will also receive a small gift for themselves and one personal item, such as a winter coat, pair of shoes or toiletry bag.

Your donation of any amount is greatly appreciated!

In 2019 we were able to provide 80 individual students an opportunity to shop with Officers and Fire Fighters! 35+ Officers/Fire Fighters and a TON of phenomenal Volunteers made this event possible! Thank you South King Fire and Rescue, the Port of Seattle Police, Normandy Park Police, Normandy Park Police Foundation and of course Des Moines Police and Redondo Fred Meyer!

We are extremely fortunate as a police department to have the support of our community.  One important way that support is shown is through the Des Moines Police Foundation.  The foundation provides the opportunity for community members to support our officers and staff as well as provide additional resources to enhance our safety and crime fighting initiatives.  The foundation also provides positive opportunities for the department to connect with our residents.  The number one responsibility of the police department is to keep our community safe.  We also work hard to address issues to enhance the quality of life in our neighborhoods.  The Des Moines Police Foundation provides outstanding support to our department and community and I am proud to work closely with them to enhance our department effectiveness.

Thank you for your support!
